About the artist

I love colour and I love to paint figures and landscapes loosely with oils and pastels, slapping it on a giant canvas with wild abandon. However, my collection 'Fine art prints of the places you love' takes that love of colour and life and breathes it into something quite different. I also love a straight line, a technical drawing (from my CAD days) and clean structure, so I decided to bring those aspects together.

I draw using pencil, then pen, then these are scanned at a high resolution in order to produce a faithful reproduction of the original. This is where I add the colour. They are then printed using high quality, archival inks on Studio Fine Art Matt 240gsm smooth bright white paper that will last without deterioration or fading.

These 'giclee' prints stand apart from standard ones, with their extremely high level of quality and longevity. My first print in this collection was of Marlow, Bucks, you can view this and the rest of the range at Hewetts of Marlow. If you are local then you can visit the store to see some of the range. I am not good at sitting still. Which is difficult for an artist. If I'm not arting, I'm usually running. Or boring people about it. Or looking at new running trainers. Even better if they can match my artwork. I also love comedy and pretty much listen to music most of the time I am awake.

As a complete contrast to my linear, controlled drawings, I also use pastels, oils and acrylics to create much looser, less 'accurate' pieces.

I occasionally take commissions. These are usually of homes or buildings that hold meaning for someone. They make great personalised gifts - use the contact button at the bottom of this page to get in touch. I'd also love to know which town you'd like to see next in the collection!
